According to information released by Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw and Medford Township Police Captain William Dunleavy, a Burlington City man employed at a Medford adult care program has been charged with abusing a patient under his supervision.

Authorities announced that Fuller P. Williams, 45, of Jones Avenue, was charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Disabled Adult (third degree) and Simple Assault(disorderly persons offense).
Williams was taken into custody on July 29 and later released following a court appearance in Mount Holly.
The case is being prepared for presentation to a grand jury for possible indictment.
The investigation began earlier this summer when officers were called to the Friends of Cyrus Adult Day Services Program, located on White Birch Trail, for a report of suspected abuse.
Investigators determined that Williams struck an autistic adult male with a thin cord, leaving visible welts and injuries across his back and buttocks.
The abuse was discovered by other staff members, who immediately contacted law enforcement.

The case is being jointly investigated by the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office and the Medford Township Police Department.
