A Red Bank man facing multiple charges in connection with a deadly motor vehicle crash in Lakewood Township will remain detained pending trial, authorities announced.

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said that on Monday, August 18, 2025, Raul Luna-Perez, 43, consented to remain lodged in the Ocean County Jail while awaiting trial.
He is charged with two counts of Aggravated Manslaughter, two counts of Strict Liability Vehicular Homicide, two counts of Vehicular Homicide, and Assault by Auto.
The charges stem from a July 26, 2025, crash in Lakewood Township that claimed two lives. Luna-Perez’s detention was formalized before the Honorable Guy P. Ryan, P.J.Cr.P.
The matter was handled on behalf of the state by Senior Assistant Prosecutor Stephen Burke.

Authorities have not released further details on the case, but the investigation remains ongoing.
