Trenton Police are actively investigating a late-night shooting incident that resulted in significant property damage but, fortunately, no injuries.

The gunfire erupted around 11:40 p.m. Wednesday in the 500 block of Rutherford Avenue.
Police responded quickly after receiving an alert from a ShotSpotter device, which indicated multiple rounds had been fired in the area.
Upon arrival, officers found shell casings scattered along the roadway.
Their investigation revealed that bullets had struck two parked vehicles and a residence. No one inside the home was injured, and the damaged vehicles were unoccupied at the time of the incident.
The suspect fled the area before police arrived and remains at large. Authorities have not yet determined a motive for the shooting.
The investigation remains active, and anyone with information is urged to contact Trenton Police.

Residents in the area are reminded to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
