Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred Monday night in Irvington Township.
According to the Essex County Prosecutor's Office, the incident happened shortly before 10:40 p.m. in the 100 block of Union Avenue.
Responding officers found an unidentified individual unconscious and unresponsive, suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials have not released further details about the shooting, including a possible motive or suspect information. No arrests have been reported as of Tuesday morning.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
