Police in Trenton are investigating the cause of a large street fight that broke out early Sunday morning, resulting in multiple arrests.
The incident unfolded around 2:10 a.m. in the 300 block of East State Street.
When officers arrived on the scene, they encountered a large crowd with several individuals actively engaged in a physical altercation.
Due to the size and intensity of the fight, police called for mutual assistance to help bring the situation under control.
Approximately five people were taken into custody as officers worked to disperse the crowd.
Authorities reported no serious injuries stemming from the incident. The motive behind the altercation remains under investigation.
