Refreshing Start to the Day as Newark Prepares for Afternoon Warm-Up

Residents across Newark and much of North Jersey are waking up to a cooler and more refreshing morning, with temperatures sitting at a comfortable 74 degrees and light breezes helping kick off the day.

The early hours are marked by partly to mostly cloudy skies and a break from the stifling heat of earlier this week. 

While the humidity remains elevated, the overall conditions are far more pleasant for commuters and early risers.

According to the National Weather Service, patchy fog is expected before 8 a.m., but skies will clear as the day progresses.

Temperatures are forecast to rise to a high near 87 degrees, with a light southeast breeze developing through the morning.

Tonight, residents can expect mostly cloudy skies with patchy fog returning after 2 a.m. and a low around 73 degrees.

Despite the humidity, the shift to sunnier skies marks a much-needed break in what’s been a stretch of hot and stormy weather.
