Authorities in Newark request the public’s help in identifying the male suspect pictured, who took a victim’s personal belongings from an unlocked work truck on July 5.

Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., stated that police responded to the incident, which occurred at approximately 6 a.m. at Texeira’s Bakery in the 100 block of Kossuth Street.

The victim, who drove a dairy work truck, stopped at the bakery to make a delivery, Newark Police said.
While he was inside the bakery warehouse, Newark officials say, surveillance video captured the suspect taking the victim’s personal belongings from the truck, which was unlocked.

According to Newark officials, the items included his wallet, lunchbox, and his company’s computer tablet.
The suspect was driving a Lincoln Aviator with back rims, a panoramic roof, and two fictitious New York registrations #LVG1-738, Newark officials said.

Director Miranda urges anyone with information on the suspect’s identity to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
