Authorities in Paterson are investigating two separate stabbing incidents that occurred overnight in different parts of the city.

The first incident happened around 10:40 p.m. Monday in the 100 block of East 28th Street.

Police were called to the scene after receiving reports of an injured individual. Upon arrival, officers found a victim suffering from stab wounds.
The unidentified person was transported to St. Joseph’s Medical Center and is reportedly in stable condition.
About an hour later, at approximately 11:30 p.m., officers responded to another stabbing near Rosa Parks Boulevard and Governor Street.
Police located another individual who had been stabbed, though their injuries were described as non-life-threatening.
At this time, police have not confirmed any arrests in connection to either incident.

The motive behind the stabbings remains unclear, and both cases are under active investigation.
