Quick Response Contained Rapid-Moving Garage Fire in Carteret

Police and firefighters in Carteret swiftly responded to a fast-moving fire that broke out inside a garage on Friday night, preventing further damage to nearby structures.

The blaze was reported around 10:25 p.m. in the 100 block of Edgar Street. 

Upon arrival, first responders found flames pouring from a garage and quickly signaled a second alarm as a precaution, concerned the fire might spread to the second level of the building.

Firefighters worked quickly to bring the blaze under control, successfully knocking down the flames. 

Although the fire caused damage to the garage and parts of the building, no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by local authorities.
