Elderly Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Motorcycle in Wayne, Authorities Say

A 77-year-old Wayne resident died after being hit by a motorcycle Friday morning, according to a statement released by the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

The incident occurred at approximately 9:27 a.m. on June 27, 2025, when officers from the Wayne Police Department responded to a reported motor vehicle crash on Ratzer Road. 

 

Upon arrival, police found that a pedestrian had been struck by a motorcycle.

 

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities said the motorcycle operator remained at the location and is cooperating with investigators.

 

The crash remains under investigation by the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office and the Wayne Police Department. Officials have not released the identities of those involved.
