Jersey City police are searching for a woman believed to be responsible for a slashing incident near the Journal Square train station early Saturday morning.
According to authorities, officers were dispatched to the area shortly before 1:30 a.m. after receiving reports of an injured man near the station.
Upon arrival, police found a male victim with a slash wound to his back.
Preliminary investigations suggest that a female suspect attacked the victim before fleeing the scene.
The victim was treated for his injuries and is expected to recover.
The motive behind the attack remains under investigation. Police have not released any further information at this time.
