Armed Robbery Suspects Wanted for Stealing $450 from Victim in Newark

Authorities in Newark request the public’s help identifying the male suspects in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on Sunday, May 25.

Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., stated that a victim reported that while walking in the 100 block of Monroe Street at approximately 3 a.m., he was approached by two males riding on a dark-colored motor scooter.

One of the suspects brandished a black handgun and demanded the victim’s cash and personal items, Newark Police said. 

According to Newark officials, the suspects removed $450.00 from the victim along with his Samsung tablet, his cell phone, and other personal property before fleeing on the motor scooter, heading westbound on Elm Street.

Detectives investigating this incident obtained photos of the suspects at Auto Zone in the 200 block of Ferry Street, Newark authorities stated.
