Authorities in Passaic County are investigating the death of a 91-year-old man who was discovered beneath an overturned vehicle in a residential driveway last week.
According to police, the victim was found shortly after midnight on June 4 outside a home on Lakeshore Drive in the Hewitt section of West Milford.
Emergency crews from the West Milford Fire Department responded to the scene and assisted local police in removing the man from under the vehicle.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
West Milford Police Chief Shannon Sommerville said the department’s crash investigation unit is leading the ongoing probe into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
No further details have been released at this time.
