Authorities in Newark are requesting the public’s help in identifying the male suspect in connection with a package theft that occurred on Wednesday, May 21.

Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., stated that a victim reported that a package delivered to a residence in the 700 block of South 13th Street at approximately 5:25 p.m. was stolen less than 15 minutes later.
The victim reviewed video surveillance footage and observed a male suspect walk up to the porch and take the delivered package, which contained clothing and accessories valued at $20.00, according to Newark officials.

Newark Police stated that detectives investigating this incident described the suspect as having a medium-brown complexion and wearing a full black beard.
He wore an orange and blue baseball cap, a blue hooded sweatshirt under a black and white jacket featuring writing on the back, and black sweatpants with a red line down the side of the leg, Newark officials say.
