Montclair Woman Robbed at Gunpoint While Walking Dog

Montclair authorities are investigating a frightening robbery in which a woman was held at gunpoint while walking her dog on North Willow Street.

According to information provided by local police, the incident occurred when a dark-colored Acura pulled up beside the woman. 

Two men exited the vehicle and approached her, while a third suspect remained behind the wheel. One of the men brandished a handgun and demanded the woman’s valuables, focusing specifically on her jewelry.

The suspects forcibly removed a necklace from her neck before quickly returning to the vehicle and fleeing southbound toward Glenridge Avenue.

Following the incident, the Acura was located in Jersey City. 

Investigators have since connected the vehicle to a string of similar robberies in Union, Elizabeth, and Jersey City.
