Suspect Wanted for Stealing Wallet from Inside Vehicle in Newark

Authorities in Newark seek the public’s help in identifying the suspect pictured below, who stole a victim’s wallet with personal belongings from his unlocked vehicle on April 28.

Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda Sr. stated that the victim parked his car at approximately 7:05 p.m. on South 6th Street, near the 300 block of South Orange Avenue, to get food from a restaurant.

When he returned, the victim’s wallet, containing bank cards, identification cards, and his driver’s license, was missing, Newark authorities said.

According to Newark officials, on surveillance video, the suspect entered the victim’s car, took his personal belongings, and fled Westbound on South Orange Avenue.

The suspect, a Black male with a medium build, wore grey ripped jeans, a blue Champion hoodie, and black sneakers.
