Robbery Suspect Wanted for Stealing iPhone in Newark

Authorities in Newark seek the public’s help identifying the suspect, who robbed a victim of his iPhone 16 on May 11.

Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda Sr. stated that at approximately 6:38 p.m., the victim met the suspect in the 80 block of Muhammad Ali Avenue to sell his iPhone, having previously contacted each other through Facebook Marketplace.

During their meeting, the suspect took the victim’s iPhone and gestured as if he had a weapon, threatening to shoot him.

The suspect, a light-skinned male with an afro hairstyle, fled on foot. He wore a grey sweater and dark colored pants.
