Authorities in Atlantic County announced that on Tuesday, May 20, Knocumus Dixon, 34, of Atlantic City, pleaded guilty to first-degree possession with intent to distribute cocaine and fourth-degree obstruction.

Under the terms of his plea agreement, Dixon is expected to be sentenced to an aggregate term of 10 years in New Jersey State Prison, ACPO officials say.
According to Atlantic County officials, on September 21, 2023, Detective Eric Evans of the Atlantic City Police Department saw Dixon exit 33 South Iowa Avenue in Atlantic City.
Dixon proceeded to approach multiple individuals for brief conversations, which were consistent with hand-to-hand sales of drugs, Atlantic County authorities stated. Dixon then entered the passenger seat of a motor vehicle.
After the driver of the vehicle committed motor vehicle infractions, a motor vehicle stop occurred, and an oxycodone pill was located in the center console, ACPO officials said.
Atlantic County officials said that when detectives informed Dixon that they intended to apply for a warrant to search his apartment, Dixon told a bystander to call a woman and warn her that police were coming.
Subsequently, a court-approved search warrant was executed on Dixon’s apartment, which led to the recovery of over five ounces of cocaine and various drug paraphernalia, including multiple digital scales and empty baggies, according to Atlantic County authorities.
Atlantic County officials, prior to the search warrant execution, Dixon obstructed a drug investigation that was conducted on Florida Avenue in Atlantic City in May 2022.
