The Urban League of Essex County is once again opening the doors of its Tech House — one of Newark’s most exciting yet under-the-radar hubs for youth innovation — to offer a free Summer Tech Camp for students ages 11 to 13.

The six-week program runs Monday through Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., starting July 7 through August 15, at 152 Littleton Avenue in Newark.

Young minds will dive into a powerful mix of hands-on learning and fun, with activities that include:

  • Filmmaking – Turning stories into screen-ready productions
  • 3D Printing – Bringing creative ideas into the real world
  • Coding – Building apps, games, and tech confidence
  • Math Skills – Sharpening logic for academic and real-world success

In addition to its rich curriculum, the camp offers daily breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack, ensuring students stay energized and focused throughout the day.

More than just a summer program, this camp serves as a launchpad for future leaders in technology and design — and it’s entirely free for Essex County families.
