Cool, Breezy Start to the Week in Newark with Sunshine Ahead

Newark and North Jersey region residents are waking up to a crisp and comfortable start to the workweek, as cool temperatures and clear skies greet early morning commuters.

As of 6:00 a.m., it’s 59 degrees in downtown Newark, with a steady breeze of 6 to 9 mph making conditions feel slightly cooler. 

For those heading out early, a light jacket or sweater is recommended to stay comfortable.

According to the National Weather Service, skies will remain sunny throughout the day with a high near 73 degrees. 

Northwest winds are expected to increase to 13 to 16 mph, with gusts reaching up to 33 mph, keeping the air feeling refreshingly brisk.

Tonight, conditions will remain mostly clear with a low around 49 degrees.
