According to information released by Burlington County officials, police and fire units were dispatched to 1 Farnsworth Avenue after reports of a body in the water.

Fire department personnel entered the river to assist police in retrieving the victim, whose body had drifted into the yacht club’s docks.

The incident is reportedly linked to a boat capsizing that took place on May 10 in the Delaware River near Trenton.

During that event, Mercer County officials said a charter fishing boat overturned, resulting in the rescue of two individuals.

A third person, a 50-year-old man, was reported missing following the accident.

Search efforts for the missing man involved multiple agencies, including the U.S. Coast Guard, New Jersey State Police Marine Units, and local emergency services from both New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

The search area extended from the Calhoun Street Bridge in Trenton down to Bordentown due to strong river currents.

The identity of the recovered body has not been officially confirmed. Authorities are awaiting positive identification and autopsy results to determine the cause of death. The investigation into the boating accident and subsequent recovery is ongoing.
