According to information released by city officials, the event will feature professional instruction from certified coaches with USTA Eastern, offering lessons in swing techniques, footwork, grip, and the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship.

The clinic is open to all skill levels, and no prior experience is required. All necessary equipment will be provided.

Adding to the excitement, former American wheelchair tennis star Dana Mathewson, who made history at Wimbledon in 2022 as the first American woman to win a Grand Slam doubles title in wheelchair tennis, will be present to inspire attendees with her story and achievements.

Beyond tennis instruction, the event will include interactive activities geared toward boosting confidence and leadership among Girl Scouts.

Organizers say the clinic aligns with the Billie Jean King Foundation’s mission to promote equity, inclusion, and opportunity through sport and education.
