Two young men from Bergen County have been arrested on multiple charges of explicit contact with minor and endangerment following an investigation into the repeated abuse of a minor under 16, according to information released by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.

Prosecutor Mark Musella announced that 19-year-old Josue E. Catalan of Cliffside Park and 20-year-old Luis Rosas of Ridgefield were taken into custody after a joint investigation involving the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit, along with Cliffside Park, Fairview, and Ridgefield police.
Detectives launched the investigation on April 27, 2025, after receiving reports that the child had been assaulted on multiple occasions across different Bergen County towns.
Authorities determined that Catalan assaulted the victim three times over the past 11 months in Cliffside Park, while Rosas was involved in assaults in Ridgefield, including one on April 24, 2025, and another incident in late 2024.
Rosas was arrested on April 28 and charged with six counts of second-degree explicit assault, two counts of endangering the welfare of minor, and one count of criminal explicit contact.
Catalan was arrested the following day and charged with three counts of second-degree explicit assault and one count of child endangerment.

Both men were booked into the Bergen County Jail and later released after initial court appearances pending further legal proceedings.
The investigation remains ongoing.
