Authorities in Newark request the public’s help in identifying a male package theft suspect in an incident that occurred on Thursday, April 24.
Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., stated that at approximately 11:33 a.m., the package, valued at $178.00, was stolen shortly after being delivered to the porch of a residence in the 400 block of 18th Avenue.
The suspect then fled on foot, headed east on Springfield Avenue, Newark Police said.
According to Newark officials, he was captured on surveillance footage carrying the victim’s package.
The suspect was wearing a black bubble jacket, jeans, and a black hooded sweatshirt, Newark authorities say.
