Authorities in Atlantic County announced that on Monday, April 28, Darrick Mallory, 54, of Atlantic City, was sentenced to a term of 10 years in New Jersey State Prison after having pleaded guilty to first-degree possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute it.

Atlantic County officials said that on June 2, 2022, law enforcement officers executed court-approved search warrants at a residence located at 711 Harris Place in Atlantic City.

Upon executing the search warrants, ACPO officials said Mallory was taken into custody.

According to Atlantic County officials, a search of his home and vehicles led to the recovery of approximately 1.3 pounds of cocaine, THC edibles, over 3 pounds of illicit marijuana, and approximately 22 grams of psilocybin mushrooms.

Additionally, police recovered $6,558.00 in U.S. currency and assorted drug paraphernalia, including digital scales and hundreds of multi-sized vials, which are commonly used to package cocaine, marijuana, and psilocybin mushrooms for sale, ACPO authorities stated.

Atlantic County officials said a subsequent search of Mallory’s cellphone revealed photographs of crack cocaine being cooked on the stove at 711 Harris Place.

This matter was investigated by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office and the DEA’s High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force (HIDTA).
