Good morning, we’re waking up to a breezy and comfortable 58 degrees on this beautiful Tuesday morning as we approach the end of the month.
According to the National Weather Service, the sun will be shining brightly today, helping temperatures climb all the way into the mid-80s by the afternoon in Downtown Newark.
It's a perfect day to enjoy outdoors especially for your lunch break, but keep in mind that increasing southwest winds—starting at 6 to 11 mph and rising to 12 to 17 mph later in the day—may raise concerns for fire spread in areas with heavy brush.
If you're heading out early this morning around 4:30 a.m., you might want a light jacket, but you'll be able to shed it quickly as the day warms up.
Tonight, skies will become mostly cloudy, with a slight 20 percent chance of showers after 11 p.m., and temperatures will drop to a mild 62 degrees.
