As we wake up this Thursday, temperatures are steadily rising, currently sitting at a comfortable 55 degrees across the Newark and North Jersey region.
Downtown Newark is reporting a calm and pleasant 56 degrees to start the day, making for a mild and refreshing morning.
If you're heading to the bus stop or commuting early, a light jacket might be helpful, but you won’t need it for long. As the sun breaks through the morning haze, conditions will warm up quickly, offering a slightly warmer day than yesterday.
According to the National Weather Service, today will be sunny with a high near 74 degrees.
Winds will remain calm in the morning, picking up slightly out of the south at 5 to 9 mph by the afternoon.
Tonight, expect mostly clear skies with temperatures dipping to around 57 degrees, setting up for another calm and mild night.
