Authorities in Hudson County announced that the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office is participating in National Prescription Take Back Day at multiple locations in Hudson County on Saturday, April 26.

HCPO officials stated that members of the Office will be collecting unused prescription medication and vaping devices at:
-Bayonne Walgreens (1080 Broadway)
-Hoboken ShopRite (900 Madison Street) from 10 a.m. to noon
-Jersey City ShopRite (400 Marin Boulevard)
-North Bergen ShopRite (3147 Kennedy Boulevard) from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
Batteries must be removed from vaping devices prior to being collected.
According to Hudson County officials, National Prescription Take Back Day is a United States Drug Enforcement Administration-led initiative aimed at preventing medication misuse and drug-related violence.
Several municipal departments are hosting collection events from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., including:
• The Bayonne Police Department – Bayonne City Hall (630 Avenue C)
• The Hoboken Police Department – Police Headquarters (106 Hudson Street)
• The Kearny Police Department – Police Headquarters (237 Laurel Avenue)
• The Secaucus Police Department – Secaucus Public Library (1379 Paterson Plank Road)
• The Union City Police Department – Bella Vista Apartments (522 22nd Street)
• The Weehawken Police Department – Police Headquarters (400 Park Avenue)
