It’s a cloudy Tuesday across Newark and the North Jersey region, with early morning temperatures holding steady around a comfortable 54 degrees as of 4:30 a.m.
While it's a mild start to the day, grabbing a light jacket isn’t a bad idea if you're heading out early, as winds remain calm.
According to the National Weather Service, the clouds will gradually clear, giving way to sunny skies and a welcome return of warmth. 
Temperatures are expected to climb into the upper 70s (about 79) in much of the region, making it a perfect afternoon to get outdoors. Some southern areas, including Toms River, could even see highs reaching into the 80s.
Tonight, conditions will stay pleasant, with partly cloudy skies and a low around 53 degrees.
