Good morning, Jersey! Residents stepping out early for Sunday services or activities are greeted by cloudy skies, chilly temperatures, and patches of light drizzle.
As of this morning, it's 37 degrees in downtown Newark, and while the drizzle is minimal, it's enough to add a chill to the air.
Though conditions are not rainy enough to require full rain gear, if you are venturing outside, you should certainly wear a warm coat, and perhaps a scarf and hat, to stay comfortable.
According to the National Weather Service, skies will remain mostly cloudy throughout the day, but temperatures will gradually rise, reaching the upper 50s across much of the region.
Expect a steady north wind of 9 to 13 mph, adding to the brisk feel.
Tonight, skies will clear significantly, with temperatures dipping to around 43 degrees overnight.
