Police in Newark are investigating a crash involving a motorcycle that left a man critically injured in the city late last night.
Several calls to 911 reporting a man down on Rt. 1&9 near the ramp to Haynes Ave. shortly before midnight, sent first responders to the scene where they found a male victim seriously injured at that location.
The man (reported to be around the age of 45-year-old) was transported to University where he reportedly suffered life threatening injuries. A group of about 10 other motorcyclist were on the scene with the victim during the time of the crash.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
