Authorities are on the search for two suspects that committed an armed robbery turned brutal assault in the city's Central Ward on Monday evening.
Police responded to the area of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Crawford Street at around 8 p.m. for an armed robbery in progress at that location. Upon arrival, police found the victim had been robbed and seriously assaulted when the suspects demanded personal properties then reportedly pistol whipped the victim after the items were handed over.
The suspects were only described as two black males, fled in a minivan in an unknown direction.
The victim required medical attention.
