Two separate car crashes in Newark's North Ward section have police investigating Saturday morning.
At approximately 2:45 a.m, emergency responders rushed to the intersection of Bridge Street and McCarter Highway to investigate reports of a crash with injuries.
Upon arrival, police found two severely damaged vehicles that collided with occupants out of the cars suffering no severe injuries.
While crews worked the scene and attempted to clear the roadway, a second crash occurred with two vehicles colliding head-on at that location.
According to preliminary reports, two individuals in this crash suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Both collisions are under investigation by The Newark Police Department.
