Child Falls Three Stories From Window of Home in Newark

Newark Public Safety officials are investigating an incident where a child suffered injuries after falling out of a window of a home Saturday afternoon. 

According to Newark Public Safety Director Brian O’Hara, at approximately 4:20 p.m., police responded to a call of an injured child at a residence in the 400 block of Avon Avenue.

Police arrived then notified EMS after they found a 3-year-old boy injured at that location. 

Officials said the boy had fallen from a 3rd-floor window.

He was transported to University Hospital for treatment and is reportedly in stable condition, according to Public Safety Director O’Hara. 

This incident remains under investigation.
