Police are on the search for a male suspect that robbed a Wendy's restaurant in Elizabeth at gunpoint this evening.
The suspect, reportedly wearing all black, entered the establishment located on North Broad Street with a handgun shortly before 8 p.m., according to initial reports.
The suspect reportedly jumped across the counter with the weapon and took an undetermined amount of cash before fleeing the scene towards Trinity Place.
As of 8:15 p.m. the restaurant was closed to the public.
