The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and the Trenton Police Department are investigating a Wednesday evening shooting homicide in Trenton.
According to Mercer County officials, at approximately 5:25 p.m. on Wednesday, Trenton Police received a ShotSpotter activation for the 300 block of St. Joe's Avenue.
Upon arrival, the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office said officers located the adult male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in his head.
The victim was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center and pronounced dead a short time later, officials said.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
