Authorities are investigating a crash that left a 38-year-old blind man in critical condition after he was struck by a vehicle early this morning.
Police responded to Route 27 between Beekman and Henderson Roads sometime around 4:30 a.m.
The crash closed that section of Route 27 for several hours, according to police.
The investigation is ongoing. The identities of the pedestrian and 30-year-old driver are being withheld at this time.
The pedestrian was taken to an area hospital with a head injury, broken pelvis and broken arm.
He remains in critical condition, according to police.
