Police in Newark are looking for a suspect who is wanted for a stabbing incident n Newark's West Ward on Thursday morning.
Authorities said police responded to reports of an injured person in the single-digit block of Chelsea Avenue around 1:20 a.m.
Officers arrived and found a female suffering a non-life-threatening cut to her arm after an altercation with a male at that location.
Police say the suspect is believed to be covered with dry chemicals from a discharged fire extinguisher during the encounter.
The motive for the attack is under investigation.
