Authorities in Essex County Prosecutor announced today that the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force, which includes detectives from the Newark Police Department, is investigating a fatal shooting.
Officials said on Friday, April 23, Mr. Maurice Hudson, 43, was fatally shot in a park located on the 500 block of Clinton Avenue in the city of Newark.
According to police, Hudson was transported to University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at8 8:08 pm.
The incident does not appear to be random police said
No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation is active and ongoing.
