One person was pronounced dead at the scene of a horrific crash on a highway in Monmouth County Saturday night.
An initial investigation revealed that at approximately 10:25 p.m., police responded to a collision in the northbound lanes of NJ-18 near exit 10 in Ocean Township.
Police and EMS arrived and found a vehicle overturned with an unconscious and unresponsive person ejected from the car at that location.
Police say medical personnel pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
All northbound lanes of NJ-18 were closed for the crash investigation.
