Police reported no injuries in a crash that occurred in a section of Newark's South Ward on Sunday evening.
According to police, the incident happened around 6:55 p.m. near East Alpine and Elizabeth Avenue.
Police say firefighters arrived at the scene and found a car crashed into a tree at that location.
A check of the vehicle indicated that the driver and other occupants exited the van and ran from the scene.
Newark Police will handle the investigation.
