Newark – Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray and Newark Police Director Eugene Venable announced today that a third man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Ana Satian, a 22-year-old mother of two from Newark who was killed during a robbery.
Mumit Marrow, 21, of Newark was arrested on Tuesday. A fourth suspect, Perry Howard, 30, of Bloomfield is at large. Warrants have been issued for his arrest. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Satian was shot on Nov. 8, 2014 when she went to visit a friend on 3rd Street Newark. At least two of the defendants approached Satian as she was walking into her friend’s house, stole her cell phone and shot her. She died the next day at University Hospital from her injuries.
In December of 2014, Lauren Whatley, 25, and Massai Laboo, 22, both of Irvington were arrested and charged. All four defendants are charged with felony murder, conspiracy, robbery and weapons offenses.
All three defendants in custody are being held on $750,000 bail at the Essex County Correctional Facility in Newark.
Marrow is scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday, Jan. 15 before the Honorable Ronald Wigler, Presiding Judge of the Criminal Division.
These are accusations. All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they enter a guilty plea or are found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
