Clifton Police reported serious injuries in a crash that occurred on a highway in the city Saturday evening.
According to preliminary reports, emergency responders rushed to the eastbound lane of Route 3 near Broad Street after receiving reports of a crash with injuries around 7:05 p.m.
Units arrived and found a damaged vehicle with two victims ejected from the car, according to police.
Both of the injured were transported to an area hospital for treatment and remained in serious condition.
Police closed the two right lanes of the highway for the investigation. The cause has not been determined at this time.
