There were no injuries reported in a shots-fired incident that occurred in a section of Newark's South Ward on Thursday.
Police say the early morning shots-fired incident happened in the 20's block Mitchell Place just after midnight.
According to police, a gunman arrived in the area and began to fire multiple rounds at individuals standing near the intersection of Frelinghuysen Avenue.
Officers arrived and taped off the neighborhood after they found about half a dozen shell casings.
The suspect remains at-large.
