North Brunswick Man Imprisoned for Fatal Hit and Run

Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone announced that a North Brunswick man has been sentenced to 8 years in prison in the death of a 22-year-old pedestrian who was struck and killed on April 20, 2019.

Daquan White, 27, of North Brunswick, was sentenced today to a prison term of 8 years with 4 years of parole ineligibility for leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash resulting in the death of Anthony Cruz-Medina, 22, of New Brunswick.

The sentence was imposed after White pleaded guilty on December 3, 2019, in accordance with a plea agreement reached with Middlesex County Assistant Prosecutor Keith Abrams.

The defendant was charged following an investigation by Sergeant Sean Cahill of the New Brunswick Police, and Detective Jonathan Berman of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.
