Mother with 2-Year-Old Child Robbed of $1.25 in Lodi

Police are asking for the public’s help for information in the investigation of a robbery yesterday afternoon.

The robbery was reported at 1:35 p.m. in at 200 Westminster Place, according to police.

According to the victim she was walking on Westminster Place with her 2-year-old child when she was approached by a black female who asked for the victim’s purse and if she did not hand over the purse the suspect was going to hurt her child.

When the victim handed over her purse, the female suspect then fled the area on Westminster Place toward the City of Garfield.

The bandit never showed a weapon, police said.

The suspect is only described as a black female wearing a red coat and blue jeans.

Among the items stolen were; the victim’s passport and $1.25 in change.

The victim and her two year old daughter did not sustain any injuries from this incident.
