Police in Newark are investigating a two-car crash that injured a woman Tuesday morning.
According to police, the collision happened at approximately 2:08 a.m. near the intersection of Bergen Street and 16th Avenue.
Police say emergency responders arrived and found the damaged vehicles with a woman trapped inside one of the cars.
Firefighters were able to extricate the victim then transport her to University Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
