Newark Mayor Ras J. Baraka and Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose welcome Barry Carter, 32-year columnist of The Star-Ledger, to the Newark Department of Public Safety’s Public Information Office.
Official say Carter brings an extensive and highly altruistic background of award-winning excellence in journalism to the Office, which is responsible for disseminating breaking news and updates regarding the Newark Police and Fire Divisions, as well as the City’s Office of Emergency Management.
Director Ambrose said join them in welcoming him as a member of the Newark Department of Public Safety.
