Police in Newark are investigating a carjacking that was reported at a location Newark's South Ward.
According to police, units were dispatched to the area of Clinton Avenue and Irvine Turner Boulevard to take a report of a carjacking that occurred on Monday evening at approximately 7:10 p.m.
Upon arrival, the victim to l police that a black male suspect produced a weapon and stole his 2013 BMW 7-Series.
The vehicle has NJ license plate numbers "V61-KTT," according to police. The suspect was accompanied by individuals occupying a blue SUV.
There were no injuries reported.
