Police have a large crime scene established in a neighborhood in Newark's South Ward as officers investigate a shots-fired incident with property damage reported.
According to police, at around 6:45 p.m., a grey Buick, occupied by several suspects, fired multiple rounds in the vicinity of Dewey and Edwin Place.
Police say the vehicle sped away from the scene and was last observed heading towards the Holland Tunnel.
According to police, bullets struck a vehicle during the shots-fired incident but there were no injuries reported.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
